A manual audit was conducted pursuant to
Florida Statue 101.591, Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. in the
Walton County Supervisor of Elections Office, Walton County Courthouse, 571
U.S. Hwy 90 East, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.
County – Walton
Date of Election – August 26, 2008
Precinct Number – 7 (Argyle)
Race – Superintendent of Schools
1. Over all accuracy of the audit:
100% of ballots were counted.
One vote for Anderson was not counted.
2. Description of any problems or discrepancies
encountered:
One questionably marked ballot not read.
Two other questionably marked ballots were correctly read.
3. Likely cause of such problems or discrepancies:
The uncounted ballot was marked too lightly to be read by the optical
scanner.
4. Recommended corrective action with respect to
avoiding or mitigating such circumstances in future elections:
Ballot marking instructions are clearly printed. We are unaware of
any action that would help this voter error.
I hereby certify that the
